In order to process your booking, we need to collect certain personal
details from you. These details will include, where applicable, your
name and contact details and those of party members, credit/debit
card or other payment details.
Personal data given to us for the purpose of making bookings or
reservations at the Wigtown Ploughman Hotel may also be used by us to
send you marketing offers from time to time. Under the provisions of
the Data Protection Act, you may opt out from receiving such
communications at any time by contacting us at:

We never share customer data with third parties or other companies
except to your credit/debit card company/bank to enable us to process
your payment. All data provided to us is securely stored.
You are entitled to ask us (by letter or e-mail) what details of
yours are being held or processed. We promise to respond to your
request within 40 days of receiving your written request. If you
believe that any of your personal details which we are processing are

Terms & Conditions of Trade
Reservations/Confirmations
All accommodation reservations must be confirmed at the time of
booking by either a valid credit card deposit or full pre-payment. By
issuing the credit card details, you are giving us permission to take payment from the card, if a reservation is cancelled or if an account
is left unpaid. The Wigtown Ploughman Hotel does not hold provisional
bookings.
Bedroom Rates
All rates quoted are subject to availability, seasons and time of
year. The Wigtown Ploughman Hotel has the right to change and/or
amend rates without prior notice. Our rates may be subject to annual
increase and local events.
Check In
Check in is from 3pm on the day of arrival and full payment will be
required. With regard to group bookings, it is the responsibility of
the person making the booking to inform all of their guests of the
check in time.
Check out
We ask that guests vacate their room by 11am on the day of departure.
Foreign Currency
The Wigtown Ploughman Hotel does not accept or exchange any foreign
currency.
Cash Back
The Wigtown Ploughman Hotel does not offer a cash back facility with
any credit or debit cards.
Cancellation by Guest
Unless otherwise stated at time of booking, cancellations received 24
hours before arrival will result in loss of deposit.
Cancellation by the Wigtown Ploughman Hotel
The Wigtown Ploughman Hotel has the right at any time (giving such
notice as possible to the guest) to cancel the accommodation without
recourse or liability to the guest for any loss, damage or changes
caused by circumstances outside its control including, without
limitation, an "Act of God", war or the threat of war, riot, civil
strike, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear
disasters, extreme weather conditions or other event or circumstances
which were unusual and unforeseeable and the consequences of which
could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised.
Cheques
All cheques should be made payable to the Wigtown Ploughman Hotel. If
you are paying your account by cheque you must present a cheque
guarantee card which must cover the full amount of the cheque otherwise the cheque cannot be accepted as payment.
Health & Safety
The Guests using the facilities at Wigtown Ploughman Hotel must
comply with all the regulations concerning licensing, fire, health
and safety.
Credit Cards
The Wigtown Ploughman Hotel accepts the following valid credit cards:
MasterCard, JCB, Visa, Switch/Maestro, American Express & Diners. If
you are wishing to use a credit card to guarantee your reservation,
the card must not expire before the arrival date.
CCTV
In the public areas of the Wigtown Ploughman Hotel and some staff
areas CCTV may be in operation and video recordings may be made. This
activity is carried out for the security of our clients and staff.
Relaxation Of Terms & Conditions
The hotel may relax any of the aforementioned terms and conditions
without prejudicing the right to subsequently strictly enforce them.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted within the hotel complex. |
